My greatest experience as an ICT student at UJ
Tommy Lasorda once said "The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination." As a student deep in the rural area in Limpopo Province just next to the Panda gate to Kruger National Park , I was so determined to do this course at UJ.Geographically we are disadvantage because we are far away from the resources. We have to travel more than 500 km for a contact session. You only attend on Saturday and there is not even a single moment to go to the Library.Today Iam very proud of what I have learned since I took this course of ICT. I give most of my acknowledgment for the attainment to Professor Alan Almory, Jerry Maseko and Dr Diseko. Without their encouragement and parting of their skills in ICT it would have been a difficult road to travel.
To single out one skill that Professor Alan Almory taught me is that one of using Mozzila Firefox and Zotero.I was able to google search scholarly document for my studies and export them to endnote to make Bibliography for studies, I was also able to link to the University Library without any difficulty. Without this skills It would had been difficult to cope with the studies.
The collaborative skills that I was taught by Professor Alan help me a lot. I found a mate through the discussion forums and since last year Justimos host me at his home when I come for my studies. I don't know how to thank him for he contributed a ot for my learning experience. When I come I will find that he had taken books fromm the Library and we will share to complete our studies. Maxaka , Michael De Saintamo says that "When two people meet, there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as he wants to be seen, and each man as he really is."

My experience can be incomplete without mentioning the contribution of the ICT student at UJ, indeed this are different Hons student.

MY PLAN FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS
"Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives." Anthony Robbins. I acknowledge that I do have ambitions in life. taking the words of Anthony one would like to focus on mastering a singe area of his life on getting the right skills.My motivation for remaining in teaching is that now Iam part of the system that had many of my colleague with less or no knowledge of the ICT. They are regarded as immigrant. It is for me to fill the gap that exist even though my impact will not be that much. Currently Iam working as a Departmental Head.My disappointment is that I'm working with a manager who is computer illiterate and is not ready for change. We are five in our School SMT. Sometimes it give me the feelings that may be I'm a threat to the management because they don't want change. Evidence is that they don't have the know how. I have three years in this institution and I have not seen any change. So one can stay and hope things will change or in order not to waste my time If I want to remain in education one must look for another career path like promotion in another institution or to the district. Otherwise one will have to further the study in order to venture into the private sector.I like teaching and already I have show-cast my expertise at the school and the district so what is left is for me to make the next move.
ICT may be of help if the government make it a policy that every manager must be well conversant with ICT because they are the ones who do not want to change thus denying the school to implement ICT.Iam already using it in teaching because Iam using my laptop and it is easy to use in class. Iam looking forward to buying a video projector so I can take full advantage of what Iam capable of doing.

HONS 2009 GOOGLE GROUP DISCUSSION FORUM
We are about to write the exams soon and we will soon forget about what we are doing now. My appeal to the group owner is that what about if the discussion forum can be used continuously to keep the 2009 hons student in touch and knowing what challenges they are facing as educators ? I think can work like an alumni in a sense. I will aso encouraged all my colleagues to note the following , everybody wants everyone to comment on his/her blog. There is a saying that "Do unto others what you want them to do unto you." Can we expert that people comment on our blogs without commenting on theirs ? It sound unfair.Another approach which I think is more polite is to write a brief explanation about your blog and give a link that writing to the discussion forum and say comment on my blog. The introduction can lead me to open your blog and comment
My experience with Format Factory
I was lucky to have been referred to a very important tool "format factory" by my lecture. I downloaded the tool and I found it very useful . It is from the Brothers soft.The application is very useful to change audio files to different format of audio like MP3, WMA, FLAC, AAC , MMF , AMR ,M4A ,M4R,OGG ,MP2,WAV ,WavPack.It changes the video format to different video format like PM4 ,AVI ,3GP ,WMV ,MKV, MGG, VOB ,MOV ,FLV ,SWF, GIF. Format Factory can also change picture files to different file format like JPG , PNG ,ICO,BMP ,GIF, TIF, PCX , TGA. I used the tool to convert video and also format audio to different format.Source files are converted to the desired format to the output folder.to me it come handy . I spend coupler rands on a particular brand of commercial software only to be disappointed that it gave me a link that is not safe for me to download .I think this tool is very for use by end users

NEXT GENERATION OF MICROSOFT 2010
The Microsoft office 2007 has come and many people are not yet well conversant with the used of this tool.I was very comfortable with office 2000 and office 2003. Because of the rate in with Microsoft is changing its office my experience was to learn to use the recent office 2007.I have not yet managed to master the office 2007.Now Microsoft is moving in a twinkle of an eye. Microsoft 2010 is now few step to the market.How many will cope with the use of the new feature of Microsoft office 2010?
