I fully agree with you. However the excitement is experienced only if you understand what you are doing.
So what is it that you think we must do to benefit everybody ? I have already realised one point. The selection creteria for our course need to be reviced. In future when you waqnt to do Hons in ICT one of the minimum criteria that one must meet is Computer literate and having access to (internet) this at a letter stage. The reason iam saying this is because many people are strugling to understand basic things and they can not enjoy as they have digital barrier to their learning
